We lost a team member this morning, victim of a nasty indigestion, she prefers to stay in the hotel for the day. So we’ll be just the two of us to visit Anuradhapura today.

80 km of road and almost 1h30 later, we reach the ancient imperial city. 

Une fois sur place, notre chauffeur négocie un guide local. Il est indispensable d’avoir un moyen de locomotion pour visiter les différents sites. Certains font ça en vélo, mais nous sommes plus fainéants ce sera en TukTuk et surtout, on bénéficie du guide pour le prix. En l’occurrence, un ancien archéologue. Oui, je sais, cela semble être un gros pipeau présenté ainsi, mais le bonhomme avait réellement une connaissance encyclopédique des lieux.
